Second Circular FIRST CARINA WORKSHOP on "PERSPECTIVES IN EUROPEAN NUCLEAR ASTROPHYSICS" Parador d'Aiguablava (Girona), Spain 8-10 June, 2005 Dear participants, Thanks to all for an enthusiastic response. In this Second Circular, you will find updates on the accomodation at the Parador, transportation to and from the Parador, as well as on the scientific organization of the Workshop. We encourage all participants to visit the Workshop's web page for additional details and updates: http://www.ieec.fcr.es/carina/carina.html MEETING SITE & ACCOMODATION ___________________________ Accomodation at the Parador d'Aiguablava has been arranged for all attendees (http://www.paradores-spain.com/spain/paiguablava.html) according to their registration forms. Please, take a minute to check your registration and notify any variation on your dates of arrival or departure at your earliest convenience. We would like to remind you that the Workshop will start early on wednesday June 8, and also that a "get-together" dinner has been arranged for the evening of June 7. Transportation from Barcelona to the Parador will be available for all interested participants the afternoon of June 7 (details will soon be available at the Workshop's web page. Those traveling to Aiguablava by car or flying to Girona's airport will also find details about how to reach the Parador in the Workshop's web page). Traveling to Aiguablava with public transportation is not straightforward and therefore, we strongly encourage all participants to take advantage of the bus provided by the Organization. Meals at the Parador's restaurant (from June 7 dinner to June 10 lunch) as well as coffee breaks will be provided, free of charge, for all invited participants [the cost of full board accomodation at the Parador -including coffee breaks and rental of the meeting room- during the workshop is 504 Euros (406 Euros per person for those wishing to share a double room)]. As stated in the First Circular, we plan to close the Workshop on friday, June 10, after lunch (a bus will be available to bring back all interested participants to Barcelona that evening). Accompanying persons that do not participate in the workshop will have to cover their own expenses (406 euros per person for full board accomodation during the workshop). A fee of 150 euros will be requested to all participants of the workshop (for those sharing a double room with a participant, a reduced fee of 50 euros will be requested). PRELIMINARY PROGRAM ___________________ Five one-hour REVIEW talks have been arranged to encourage vivid discussions and to provide a framework for the different Working Group meetings. These will be organized by the corresponding coordinators (see http://www.cyc.ucl.ac.be/CARINA/wg.html ), who will arrange a number of short talks during the WG meetings upon request. Do not hesitate to contact the corresponding coordinators of your research area if you are interested to give a talk. A summary of the different WG activities will be presented by the coordinators during the last day of the Workshop. Preliminary program: ....................
