External practices

University students take a course of external practices with companies, services or institutes. The main objective of this subject is to introduce students to the workplace by offering them a possible future job market insertion. The IEEC has signed agreements with most of the universities in Catalonia and therefore undergraduate students can carry out such practices at the institute. Potential students should get in touch with a researcher at IEEC and follow the procedures set by the school or department that coordinates the subject of external practices at the relevant university.

JAE-INTRO

CSIC's JAE-INTRO program is addressed to undergraduate students in sophomore, junior or senior year of university having excellent academic records. The objective of the program is to provide students with the possibility of having “hands on” experience in the industry or at a research institute by working in a professional environment for a short period of time (they are also known as Summer Internships). The call for this program usually occurs at the end of the previous year, where the student can choose the center he or she is interested in applying depending on the area of interest. The internship’s duration is for two months and the student can coordinate with the researcher to carry out the grant during the summer (June, July, August or September).

For more information on the program, application processes, deadlines and other details, please refer to: JAE-INTRO.
