Our group participates actively in several cosmological projects. We have a leading role in the development of end-to-end simulations for the ESA/Euclid mission (http://www.euclid-ec.org), as well as in scientific pipelines for major astronomical surveys: the data analysis of the ongoing DES (http://www.darkenergysurvey.org) and PAUS (http://www.paucam.pic.es) surveys, and the preparation of the future ESA/Euclid, DESI (http://www.desi.lbl.gov) and LSST (http://www.lsst.org) missions. We are also very active in the field of n-body simulations through the MICE project (http://maia.ice.cat/mice/), and in the theoretical modeling of the large-scale structure observables.
We are seeking candidates with interest and relevant experience to contribute and benefit from these projects. The candidate will also be encouraged to pursue her/his own research interests. The initial appointment is for 1 or 2 years depending on the starting date, with possible extensions subject to funding. The starting date is flexible although Spring 2017 is highly preferable.
To apply, please send a CV, a brief research proposal (2-3 pages), and 2 recommendation letters to firstname.lastname@example.org. Applications should arrive before April 15, 2017.
