Sant Cugat Forum on Astrophysics: Modelling nebulae
Next 14, 15, 16 and 17 June, the Casa de Cultura de Sant Cugat hosts the second part of the 2016 edition of the Sant Cugat Forum on Astrophysics. An initiative of the ICREA researcher and director of the Institute of Space (IEEC-CSIC), Diego F. Torres, which has the support of the City of Sant Cugat and the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia.

During the last few years, significant progress on the study of pulsar wind nebuale (PWNe) has been attained both from a theoretical and an observational perspective, focusing on the closest, more energetic, and best studied nebula: the Crab. In workshop, international experts on nebulae field, will assess the theoretical state on how nebulae are formed. They will do so taking into account the current observational data and also raising questions for future observations: What kind of models we have, and which we need? Can they be combined? What are the most promising avenues for the unification of these models?

The Sant Cugat Forum on Astrophysics is held every two years and have become a meeting point for scientists around the world. The first edition of the Forum was held in 2010 and Sant Cugat became the permanent venue of the meeting thanks to an agreement between the City Council and the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC).
