Successful public observations of the eclipse
There was a good turnout during the activities related to the solar eclipse observation on Friday 20 March, where members of IEEC participated, despite the clouds hampered observations at times.

At the Campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), more than 200 people came to the Institute of Space Sciences (IEEC-CSIC) to observe the eclipse through a telescope on the roof to watch the Sun in detail, and with special glasses that were facilitated. In addition, visitors enjoyed the scientific explanations about the astronomical phenomenon and its implications.

In Barcelona members of the university of Barcelona (UB) community , pedestrians and school students were able to observe the solar eclipse from three different points of the city: on the roof of the UB Faculty of Physics, ​​in front of the UB building historic and in the Space Science at the Education Fair 2015.
