Institut d&rsquo;Estudis Espacials de Catalunya) has informed about the resolution of the <strong>winners <\/strong>of the <strong>Awards for Best Final Master&#39;s Thesis<\/strong> (TFM) defended during the academic year 2021\/22 and <strong>Best Doctoral Thesis<\/strong> (PhD) defended during the academic years 2020\/21 or 2021\/22.<\/p>\n<p>The evaluated works have been defended in any of the institutions that make up the IEEC and are on topics specific to the Institute&rsquo;s research lines: <strong>astrophysics, cosmology, Earth observation, navigation and space technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After evaluating all the candidacies, the jury, formed by the members of the IEEC management team, has decided that the winning works are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:disc\"><strong>Best Final Master&rsquo;s Thesis<\/strong>:&nbsp;\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:circle\"><em>The multiplicity fraction in 324 open clusters from Gaia<\/em>, by Ms <strong>Judit Donada Oliu<\/strong>. Directors: Mr <strong>Friedrich Anders<\/strong> and Ms <strong>Carme Jordi Nebot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:disc\"><strong>Best Doctoral Thesis<\/strong> (ex-aequo):&nbsp;\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:circle\"><em>Analysis of high-precision spectroscopic and photometric data for planet and stellar characterization<\/em>, by Mr <strong>David Baroch L&oacute;pez<\/strong>. Director: Mr <strong>Juan Carlos Morales Peralta<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type:circle\"><em>Development of novel instruments and techniques for passive microwave remote sensing<\/em>, by Mr <strong>Joan Francesc Mu&ntilde;oz Martin<\/strong>.
