Enxaneta was launched into orbit in March 2021 as part of the Catalan Government&#39;s <a href=\"https:\/\/politiquesdigitals.gencat.cat\/en\/tic\/estrategia-new-space-de-catalunya\/index.html\">NewSpace Strategy for Catalonia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The event &#39;<strong>L&#39;Enxaneta: Un any en &oacute;rbita<\/strong>&#39;, which was held at 11 am in the Catalonia Pavilion, Hall 4 (4C1) of the Gran Via exhibition centre at the Fira de Barcelona, took stock of the nanosatellite&#39;s first year in space and presented its first case of use in a real environment, which consisted of measuring physical and environmental parameters of the soil in vineyards via an Internet of Things (IoT) connection with the nanosatellite.<\/p>\n<p>The encounter was attended by the director general of Innovation and Digital Economy of the Catalan Government, <strong>Daniel Marco<\/strong>, the deputy director general of Geodesy and Cartography of the Institut Cartogr&agrave;fic i Geol&ograve;gic de Catalunya (ICGC),<strong> Juli&agrave; Talaya<\/strong>, the director of the Institute for Space Studies of Catalonia&nbsp;(Institut d&rsquo;Estudis Espacials de Catalunya &mdash; IEEC), <strong>Ignasi Ribas<\/strong>, the director of innovation of Space Communications of the i2CAT Foundation, <strong>Pol Guix&eacute;<\/strong>, the CEO and co-founder of Sateliot, <strong>Jaume Sanpera<\/strong>, and the coordinator of the NewSpace Strategy for Catalonia, <strong>Ver&ograve;nica Tercero<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The event, which was especially aimed at all members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dca.cat\/en\/dca-newspace\/\">NewSpace Community<\/a>, was organised by the <a href=\"https:\/\/dca.cat\/en\/\">Digital Catalonia Alliance<\/a>.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first real environment use case of the Enxaneta nanosatellite was presented today at the Mobile World Congress, which is currently being held in Barcelona (28 February &#8211; 3 March).
