<\/span>In the framework of the objectives of the Talent and Society programme of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia, the <\/span>Government of Catalonia and the <\/span>Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia<\/span><\/a> (Institut d’Estudis Espacials de Catalunya \u2014 IEEC)<\/span> launched a call for 3 scholarships<\/a> (<\/span>NewSpace Catalonia Scholarships<\/span><\/i>) to attend the <\/span>Space Studies Program<\/span><\/a> – SSP. The SSP is an intensive 8-week course<\/strong> organised by the <\/span>International Space University<\/span><\/a> (ISU) during the summer months, which offers training in a wide range of space disciplines, through theoretical courses, workshops and professional visits. <\/span>

The 36th\u00a0 edition will take place in <\/b>Houston, Texas<\/b> (USA)<\/span>, from 8 June to 3 August 2024. <\/span>The main objective of the programme is to train students to enter the professional world in the field of space economics and space industry. The SSP is supported by the European Space Agency (ESA).<\/span><\/p>\n

The NewSpace Catalonia Scholarships amount to <\/span>7,000 euros each <\/b>and are in addition to those awarded by the ISU and ESA to partially offset the costs associated with participation in the programme. After evaluating all the applications received, the evaluation committee appointed by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the IEEC has decided that the <\/span>beneficiaries of the scholarships<\/b> are:<\/span><\/p>\n
