The <\/span>European Union Agency for the Space Programme<\/span><\/a> (EUSPA) and <\/span>Eurisy<\/span><\/a> (a European network dedicated to promoting the use of space technologies and satellite data in society) are organising the workshop \u2018<\/span>Satellite-based Services for Disaster Risk Management<\/b>\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event is organised in close collaboration with the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia<\/a> (IEEC \u2014 Institut d\u2019Estudis Espacials de Catalunya), the Secretariat of Digital Policies of the Government of Catalonia, in the framework of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia<\/a>, and the Spanish Space Agency<\/a> (AEE). It also has the support of the Spanish Ministry of Defence<\/a> and the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The session will take place at the <\/span>World Trade Center<\/span><\/a> in Barcelona (Moll de Barcelona s\/n, Est building, 1st floor) on <\/span>26 February<\/b>, from 9:30 am to 5:15 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event is part of a series of practical sessions aimed at discussing with national users the challenges they face in<\/span> integrating satellite-based services<\/b>, as well as the benefits observed. In this case, the workshop focuses on how <\/span>space technologies and related services can help manage risks during natural disasters <\/b>and other <\/span>emergency situations<\/b>. It is a unique opportunity for stakeholders to meet, discuss, and exchange best practices and sector specific needs.<\/span><\/p>\n
