Un estudi, en el qual han participat les investigadores Margarita Hernanz, de l\u0092Institut de Ci&egrave;ncies de l\u0092Espai (CSIC-IEEC) i Gl&ograve;ria Sala, de la Universitat Polit&egrave;cnica de Catalunya (UPC-IEEC), ha establert la massa d&rsquo;aquest objecte en unes deu vegades la del Sol. No obstant, alguns dels seus registres de lluminositat excedeixen els l&iacute;mits establerts per la f&iacute;sica. El descobriment ha estat publicat avui a la revista Nature.<\/p>\n<p>Una s&egrave;rie de f&oacute;rmules matem&agrave;tiques estableixen quina podria &eacute;sser la lluminositat m&agrave;xima d&rsquo;un objecte c&ograve;smic en funci&oacute; de la seva massa (coneguda com la lluminositat d&rsquo;Eddington). Per sobre d&rsquo;aquest l&iacute;mit, per exemple, una estrella normal es descompondria. Per a un forat negre de massa una desena de vegades superior a la del Sol, aquesta xifra &eacute;s de 1&times;1032 watts, un mili&oacute; de vegades m&eacute;s que la lluminositat del Sol.<\/p>\n<p>Algunes fonts c&ograve;smiques de raigs X, que es troben lluny dels centres de les gal&agrave;xies, brillen amb lluminositats que superen aquesta xifra, i per aix&ograve; es denominen fonts de raigs X ultralluminoses (ULX, sigles en angl&egrave;s). Tenen masses m&eacute;s grans que les dels forats negres normals (fins a 10 vegades la massa del Sol) per&ograve; menors que les dels forats negres supermassius localitzats en els centres de les gal&agrave;xies.<\/p>\n<p>Les investigadores Hernanz i Sala expliquen: \u0093Dins dels ULX, el nivell de lluminositat d&rsquo;aquest forat negre &eacute;s un dels menys intensos; de fet, nom&eacute;s supera el l&iacute;mit de 1&times;1032 watts en algunes ocasions\u0094.<\/p>\n<p>Aquest fenomen es deu a la pr&ograve;pia configuraci&oacute; del forat negre, que pertany a un sistema binari en el qual ell i la seva estrella acompanyant orbiten al voltant de si mateixos a gran velocitat. Durant aquest ball c&ograve;smic, part de la mat&egrave;ria de l&rsquo;estrella &eacute;s atrapada i absorbida pel forat. Abans de ser engolida, aquesta mat&egrave;ria crea un disc d&rsquo;acreci&oacute; al voltant del forat negre i emet intensament en raigs X. &Eacute;s en aquest moment quan es pot mesurar la lluminositat de l&rsquo;objecte i la seva massa, ja que, com comenten les investigadores, &ldquo;un forat negre que no interactua amb cap altre objecte no pot ser observat perqu&egrave; no emet llum&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>La lluminositat que es produeix d&rsquo;aquest fenomen dep&egrave;n de la massa del forat negre, ja que com m&eacute;s massiu sigui, m&eacute;s potent ser&agrave; el seu camp gravitatori i m&eacute;s mat&egrave;ria ser&agrave; capa&ccedil; d&rsquo;absorbir, el que li conferir&agrave; una major lluminositat.<\/p>\n<p>No obstant aix&ograve;, resulta l&ograve;gic pensar que aquests par&agrave;metres no s&oacute;n estables, sin&oacute; que varien amb el temps i, a menor escala del forat m&eacute;s r&agrave;pida ser&agrave; la variaci&oacute; dels par&agrave;metres. Segons Hernanz i Sala, &ldquo;l&rsquo;objecte que va comen&ccedil;ar sent un ULX, ha demostrat ser un microqu&agrave;sar, un sistema binari que cont&eacute; un forat negre de massa petita. Les observacions en r&agrave;dio dels jets relativistes de mat&egrave;ria expulsada pels pols del forat negre en rotaci&oacute; han ajudat a determinar la seva massa &ldquo;.<\/p>\n<p>Els resultats obtinguts per aquest estudi obren una nova finestra de comprensi&oacute; dels forats negres i la seva evoluci&oacute; a l&rsquo;Univers. Segons les investigadores de l\u0092ICE i la UPC, \u0093comprendre el comportament dels forats negres suposa un gran repte. Les microescales en qu&egrave; es presenten els microqu&agrave;sars fan que la seva evoluci&oacute; sigui molt m&eacute;s r&agrave;pida i els converteixen en escenaris perfectes per entendre l&rsquo;evoluci&oacute; dels qu&agrave;sars (els mega forats negres situats al centre de les gal&agrave;xies) i aix&iacute; comprendre com s&rsquo;ha distribu&iuml;t la massa i l&rsquo;energia en l&rsquo;Univers primitiu i com s&rsquo;han format les gal&agrave;xies que veiem avui dia&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>Refer&egrave;ncia:Matthew J.
