The stay, held from 7 to 12 July, took place at the M\u00f3nNatura Pirineus centre (Pallars Sobir\u00e0).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the framework of the Talent and Society axis of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/catalangovernment.eu\/catalangovernment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Government of Catalonia<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieec.cat\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(IEEC \u2014 Institut d\u2019Estudis Espacials de Catalunya), with the collaboration of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gostemspace.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GoSTEM<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> association, organise this project as part of the<\/span><b> &#8216;Scientific Stays\u2019 programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundaciocatalunya-lapedrera.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the aim of promoting scientific vocations, awakening curiosity and stimulating critical thinking among young people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; link_font=&#8221;|700|||on||||&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the week, participants <\/span><b>explored NewSpace technologies, focusing on their applications in Earth observation, navigation and communications.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> They learned, among other things, how to use satellite data to analyse our planet, work with signals from the Galileo constellation and send messages through real satellites.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After assimilating the foundations, the participants formed groups and participated in a hackathon to develop NewSpace applications that would address current problems such as drought, communication in high mountains or the pollution of the Mediterranean.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The week ended with a presentation from each group focused on the learnings and their final solution developed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_button button_url=&#8221;https:\/\/www.fundaciocatalunya-lapedrera.com\/ca\/newspace-lenginyeria-lespai&#8221; url_new_window=&#8221;on&#8221; button_text=&#8221;MORE INFORMATION&#8221; button_alignment=&#8221;left&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;||40px||false|false&#8221; custom_margin_tablet=&#8221;||||false|false&#8221; custom_margin_phone=&#8221;||||false|false&#8221; custom_margin_last_edited=&#8221;on|phone&#8221; custom_padding=&#8221;12px|40px|12px|30px|true|false&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;][\/et_pb_button][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The IEEC co-organises this project as part of the &#8216;Scientific Stays\u2019 programme of the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":37953,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"on","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"2880","footnotes":""},"categories":[71,80],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-37959","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-announcements","category-talent-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
