The <\/span>Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia<\/span><\/a> (IEEC \u2014 Institut d\u2019Estudis Espacials de Catalunya) and the <\/span>Government of Catalonia<\/span><\/a> have opened a <\/span>call for 14 grants to companies, start-ups and research centres in Catalonia<\/b> for the selection of students on internships in the NewSpace field.<\/span><\/p>\n

This call is framed within the actions of the <\/span>Talent and Society programme <\/b>of the <\/span>NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia<\/span><\/a>, which promotes activities aimed at attracting, generating and retaining all that talent with the capabilities to develop solutions in the NewSpace field.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the objectives of the programme is to promote internships in companies, start-ups and research centres in the NewSpace field, as a key element for the connection between universities and companies. Furthermore, the aim is to favour small companies and research centres in Catalonia that have difficulties hiring interns with their resources.<\/span><\/p>\n

The purpose of this grant is to promote the space ecosystem in the territory of Catalonia and encourage small\/medium companies, startups and research centres based in Catalonia to finance internships for university students in this field.<\/span><\/p>\n

The amount of the NewSpace Internship grant will be a maximum of 3,000 euros each. This amount finances the aid paid to the student during the 2025-2026 academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Companies, start-ups and research centres that meet the requirements established in the third clause of the call for proposals are eligible for these grants.<\/span><\/p>\n

The organisations interested in participating can send their application until<\/span> 19 September 2025<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
