Families Go to Mars<\/b> is an afternoon to discover, play, and dream about space together as a family. Organized by the <\/span>Hypatia Mars Association<\/span><\/a>, with the collaboration of the <\/span>Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia<\/span><\/a> (IEEC), the activity will take place on <\/span>Wednesday, September 3, 2025<\/b>, at the IEEC headquarters in Castelldefels.<\/span><\/p>\n The event will begin with an <\/span>informative talk about the Hypatia analogue missions<\/b>, where a team of women scientists and technologists simulated life on Mars from the Utah desert. Afterwards, there will be a <\/span>snack with workshops and fun activities for children<\/b>, including rocket building, simulating Mars re-entry, and creative science games.<\/span><\/p>\n The activity uses an <\/span>experiential methodology adapted to children<\/b> and has a <\/span>special focus on encouraging scientific vocations among primary school girls<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n The event is <\/span>free and in-person<\/b>, and will take place from <\/span>5:30 pm to 7:30 pm<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n This activity is part of the HYPA-TIC project, which has the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union \u2013 Next Generation EU.
