Descripci\u00f3: The student will collaborate with the PAU Data Management team in the design and implementation of a database for a galaxy survey. This database will contain a very large number of entries corresponding to the galaxies, stars and other stellar objects found during the survey. Each entry may contain as well a large number of columns as a result of a multi-filter system and several post processing releases. The system will be held in a Grid Computing environment and should be scalable and updateable. The type of queries that will be requested for the scientific target should be taken into account in the design of the architecture. The challenge of this design relies on the optimization of an extensive and changing database.<\/p>\n
