Antoni P\u00e9rez-Poch, a researcher at the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieec.cat\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (IEEC) and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.upc.edu\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya &#8211; BarcelonaTech<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (UPC), is among those selected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The grade of Associate Fellow recognises individuals who have accomplished or been in charge of important engineering or scientific work, or who have done original work of outstanding merit, or who have otherwise made outstanding contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics. Only 17% of AIAA members are ever selected for this grade.
