Mar\u00e7_2016<\/p>\n

Owl Nebula, also catalogued as M97, lies about 2600 light years away in the constellation Ursa Major. This planetary nebula has a characteristic rounded shape, with two dark regions, suggesting the face of an owl watching us. In fact, it is the remains of the envelope of a sun-like star after thermonuclear reactions inside. This is an example of what will be the fate of the Sun in about 5000 million years.<\/p>\n

The image was made with the Joan Or\u00f3 telescope, at the Observatori Astron\u00f2mic del Montsec, by using different broad-band filters and a total time of 1.5 hours of exposure.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
