The compact stellar formation region known as the IC5146 Nebula is about 15 light-years wide and is 4000 light-years away in the constellation of the Swan. The red color of the nebula stands out on the cluster of hot young stars that ionize the hydrogen that surrounds them. In fact, it is believed that the center\u2019s brightest star has only a few hundreds of millions of years old, and its radiation and stellar winds are able to drag out the cloud that wraps it. Further, traces of molecular clouds, more cold and dark, are encroached.<\/p>\n

The image was captured with the Joan Or\u00f3 Telescope of the Montsec Astronomical Observatory, using several broadband filters and a total time of 1.5 hours.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
