In addition, the film 'Cocoon' and a special 'Terrícoles' (1.20) will be broadcast, with Ignasi Ribas, director of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia.<\/p>\n

'Life in the universe'<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since the emergence of the first civilizations, humans have felt fascination for our origins and for those of the universe. In this 'Deuwatts' we explore what we know about life in the universe. And to do this, we talked with:<\/p>\n

• Kike Herrero, astronomer and researcher at the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC)
\n• Jordi Urmeneta, lecturer at the Department of Genetics, Microbiology and Statistics of the University of Barcelona (UB)
\n• Andrea Butturini, biogeochemistry and lecturer at the Faculty of Biology (UB)
\n• Josep Manel Carrasco, researcher at the Institute of Cosmos Sciences (ICCUB)
\n• Andreu Faro, student of 4th ESO of the Vila-seca Institute and winner of the prize Tell me the Science
\n• Jordi Portell, researcher of the Gaia mission, the Cosmos Science Institute (ICCUB), and technical manager of the Sónar calling project<\/p>\n

Documentary 'Sónar calling'<\/strong><\/p>\n

In collaboration with the Institute of Space Studies, the Sónar festival has carried out a pioneering artistic and scientific project in many aspects. They have sent musical pieces of 10 seconds of 38 artists linked to the festival to an exoplanet located at 12.4 light years. The planet is called Luyten b and has been chosen by renowned Catalan astronomer Ignasi Ribas. It is a potentially inhabited planet, that is to say, that it has characteristics to welcome life.<\/p>\n

If there was intelligent life in Luyten b, they would receive the message in 2030 and, if they were about to answer, a response would come in 25 years.<\/p>\n

In the documentary 'Sónar calling' we explained the project through interviews with the three directors of Sónar, Sergi Caballero, Ricard Robles and Enric Palau, and the scientists who advised them, Ignasi Ribas and Jordi Portell.<\/p>\n

Movie<\/strong><\/p>\n

'Cocoon' is a 1985 American movie about a group of elderly people that regain the energy of youth when they accidentally bind with aliens. The film, directed by Ron Howard and based on a novel by David Saperstein, won two Oscars.<\/p>\n
