This presentation is about cosmology and malaria. Do these fields have anything in common? They are very distant aspects of nature, but they have at least one thing in common: science is trying to understand them. Different scientific disciplines can have completely different goals and explore unrelated fields but they can share similar approaches. Science can benefit from multidisciplinary approaches, where different research fields can learn from each other, avoiding reinventing the wheel and solving new problems with creative ideas. I will give an example of this from my personal experience. I will give a basic introduction of cosmology and some of the tools we use, a basic introduction to malaria and its main challenges, and I will explain how the skills I have acquired on cosmology have allowed me to start a new position on malaria epidemiology.<\/p>\n
