During the last few decades, the numerical method called lattice QCD has been able to compute the simplest quantities, such as the hadron masses, directly from first principles.<\/p>\n<p>When trying to address multibaryon systems, more sophisticated algorithms and analysis techniques are required in order to obtain the energy levels.<\/p>\n<p>In this talk, I will present the tools used to extract the lowest-lying spectra of two-baryon systems from the lattice, showing the results obtained by the NPLQCD collaboration at a heavier-than-physical pion mass (800 MeV) and some preliminary results at a lower pion mass (450 MeV).[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The idea of studying nuclear physics directly from the degrees of freedom of the Standard Model, quarks and gluons, has been long sought in the physics community.
