_module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]The Fermi-LAT has detected an anomalous signal at energies of a few GeV from the Galactic Center, the so called Galactic-Center Excess (GCE). The morphology of the GCE is roughly spherically symmetric. Dark matter has long been one of the leading interpretations of the excess, since the signal appears consistent with the expectation from a typical annihilating WIMP DM candidate.<\/p>\n<p>However, recently, evidence in favour of an astrophysical origin has been accumulating. In particular, the distribution of photons appears clustered, consistent with an unresolved population of millisecond pulsars.
