In June, the protagonist of the image of the month is the Hercules globular cluster.<\/p>\n<p>juny2016<\/p>\n<p>This impressive globular cluster, also known as M13, is one of the brightest visible in the northern hemisphere sky. It is estimated to contain a few hundreds of thousands of stars, about 25,000 light-years away in the constellation Hercules,they are concentrated in a region only about 150 light-years across. Near the center, however, you can get to find more than 100 stars in just three light years.<\/p>\n<p>The image was taken with the Joan Or\u00f3 telescope, at the Observatori Astron\u00f2mic del Montsec, using different broadband filters and a total time of 2 hours of exposure.
