New call for applications for the ‘Catalonia Space Labs Tickets’ open: grants to promote the use of space infrastructure

Oct 23, 2026

The new application window for the ‘Catalonia Space Labs Tickets’ grants is now open. Promoted by the Government of Catalonia and coordinated by the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC) as part of the Catalonia Space 2030 Strategy, the programme aims to help private Catalan entities and companies within the Catalan space ecosystem access space infrastructure, laboratories and the technical capabilities required to develop, test and scale their solutions at a reduced cost.

The grants cover 70% of the cost of using the infrastructure, up to a maximum amount of €15,000 per applicant company. Eligible costs include those incurred for hiring the use of infrastructure from entities with a registered and/or tax address, permanent establishment or workplace in Catalonia prior to applying for the grant (from 1 January 2026 to the date of application).

Infrastructures that form part of Catalonia Space Labs are eligible, as well as other infrastructures (cleanrooms, vacuum chambers, vibration test benches, laboratories, etc.) located in Catalonia, provided that the owning companies register the corresponding infrastructure with Catalonia Space Labs. For projects linked to climate resilience, beneficiary companies may be included in the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Phi-Lab Spain portfolio, in accordance with this programme’s specialization.

This new application window, which corresponds to the fourth and final call of 2026, will close on 8 December (at 2 PM). The partial resolution is expected to be issued before 22 December.

Each company may submit more than one application, provided that the maximum eligible amount is not exceeded.

Submission of applications and documentation (see clauses 5 and 6 of the terms and conditions)

Applications must be submitted electronically via the IEEC e-office: https://www.ieec.cat/en/ieec/e-office/. The applicant signatory must have legal representation of the requesting company or entity.
