Call for grants to organisations for the selection of students for internships in space projects

The Government of Catalonia and the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC — Institut d’Estudis Espacials de Catalunya) have opened a call for 2 grants to companies, start-ups and research centres in Catalonia for the selection of students on internships in the space field.

This call is framed within the Catalonia Space Strategy 2030, which promotes, among other actions, activities aimed at attracting, generating and retaining all that talent with the capabilities to develop solutions in the space field.

The purpose of this grant is to promote the space ecosystem in the territory of Catalonia and encourage small/medium companies, startups and research centres based in Catalonia to finance internships for university students in this field, fostering the collaboration between academia and industry. 

The amount of this space Internship Grant will be a maximum of 3,000 euros each. This amount finances the aid paid to the student during the 2026-2027 academic year.

Companies, start-ups and research centres that meet the requirements established in the third clause of the call for proposals are eligible for these grants.

The organisations interested in participating can send their application until 2 March 2026.
