Feet on the Ground: Satellite technologies to improve daily life

Feet on the Ground is a session to explore up close how space technologies contribute every day to improving people’s lives.
During the session, organised by Fundació KIMbcn and Fundación “la Caixa” with the support of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), the role of satellite data in improving our quality of life and in preventing and addressing complex challenges will be analysed.
From predicting pollution to monitoring water resources or supporting climate emergency response.
The event will feature the participation of:
- Ramon Pastor, President of Fundació KIMbcn
- Estel Blay, programme manager of PhiLabNET Spain at the IEEC and commander of Hypatia III
- Anna Ruiz, science communicator and science popularizer
- Urska Starc, head of the Tourism 4.0 Initiative at Arctur
The event will take place at Palau Macaya in Barcelona on Thursday, 9 October at 18:30. Entry is free, but capacity is limited.
