This July, come to the Space Economy Congress 2026!
Once again, Barcelona will host a new edition of the Space Economy Congress 2026, the flagship event of the Catalan space ecosystem.
On 9 and 10 July, La Llotja de Mar (Barcelona) will host a congress that this year takes a new step in its evolution, adopting a new name that reflects the maturity of the sector: from ‘NewSpace’ to ‘Space’ Economy Congress. This new focus emphasises the real impact of space technologies and their role as strategic infrastructure.
In this context, the aim of the Congress is to continue positioning Catalonia as a leading space hub, reinforcing its commitment to internationalisation and cross-sector collaboration, and offering new business opportunities and visibility within the NewSpace ecosystem.
Aligned with the vision of the Catalonia Space 2030 Strategy, the event connects key players to accelerate the adoption of solutions based on space technologies and to foster a more resilient, sustainable, and competitive ecosystem.
The programme will include high-quality presentations and panel discussions aimed at exploring the latest trends, technological advances, and new business and investment opportunities within the sector. Furthermore, the event will feature prestigious national and international speakers, including representatives from space agencies such as NASA, the Spanish Space Agency, and the UK Space Agency, as well as prominent companies and players from the Catalan space ecosystem.
Over the course of the two-day event, Barcelona will become the meeting point for the space economy, where technology, industry, and public policy converge. The Congress will offer a space to understand and seize the opportunities that the space sector generates in fields such as sustainability, mobility, agriculture, civil protection, digital infrastructure, and artificial intelligence, as well as to establish connections and explore investment opportunities throughout the entire value chain.
The Space Economy Congress 2026 is organised by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Government of Catalonia, with the collaboration of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC), the i2CAT Research Centre, and the KIMbcn Foundation as associate organisers.
This edition will feature the Emilia-Romagna region as the guest ecosystem, reinforcing the international dimension of the event.
