Call for participation in the NewSpace Catalonia pavilion at Space Tech Expo Europe 2025 (Bremen)

Are you an innovative company or a research and innovation center in the space sector?

If the answer is yes, your company or center could be selected to exhibit at the NewSpace Catalonia pavilion, presented by the Government of Catalonia with the support of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (Institut d’Estudis Espacials – IEEC), at Space Tech Expo Europe, taking place in Bremen from November 18 to 20, 2025. An event that brings together all kinds of international organizations and stands as one of the leading references in the space sector.

Space Tech Expo Europe 2025 will be the eighth edition of Europe’s largest and most important trade fair for space technology and services. The exhibition showcases the latest space technologies and offers the opportunity to network, interact and discuss current issues in the space sector. The fair, a key B2B event, attracts thousands of industry leaders every year, including manufacturers, service providers, research organisations and government agencies. For companies in the space sector, this exhibition is a unique opportunity to connect with other industry professionals, discover the latest innovations and trends, and establish new collaborations. It also allows companies to showcase their own products and services to a broad and specialised audience.

This year, the Government of Catalonia, with the support of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), will have a pavilion at the event, in a prime location to facilitate contact with other key players in the global space sector. Companies will be able to use the pavilion to hold meetings and/or carry out any other activities they consider relevant and have agreed upon. These will be spaces where visitors, companies and organisations attending the congress can present their activities, make contacts and promote collaborations with a global reach.

The NewSpace Catalonia pavilion is an initiative within the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia, promoted by the Government through the Secretariat for Digital Policies of the Ministry of Business and Labour, in collaboration with the IEEC, the i2CAT Foundation and the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (Institut Cartogràfic i Geolòic de Catalunya – ICGC). This collaboration aims to showcase to the world the industrial, innovation and talent-generation capacities present in the Catalan ecosystem. The pavilion will highlight the interaction potential between the space and digital sectors, both strategic for the rise of the new space economy, as well as the different institutions involved and the strengths of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia and the sectors engaged in this ecosystem.

Companies and organisations hosted at the pavilion will not only benefit from high visibility, but also from the various outreach and internationalisation activities taking place during Space Tech Expo 2025, as well as from the guidance and support of the strategy’s promoters.

The deadline for submitting applications is 16 may 2025 (11:59 p.m.).

Participation modalities

Modality 1: Own space within the ‘NewSpace Catalonia’ pavilion (co-exhibitor). Between 4 and 6 companies will be selected under this modality and will be allocated a dedicated exhibition area.

Reserved area with a specific space of between 5 and 9 m².
Access to the pavilion’s meeting area.
Inclusion in the NewSpace Catalonia catalogue of Space Tech Expo Europe 2025.
Participation in the various events organised by the promoters of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia during Space Tech Expo Europe 2025.
Promotion through various communication channels (website, press, etc.).

The cost of the co-exhibitor modality is €500. The company must cover all costs related to travel, transport and installation of specific content in its space.

Modality 2: Company showcasing within the ‘NewSpace Catalonia’ pavilion

Access to the pavilion’s meeting area.
Inclusion in the NewSpace Catalonia catalogue of Space Tech Expo Europe 2025.
Participation in the various events organised by the promoters of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia during Space Tech Expo Europe 2025.
Promotion through various communication channels (website, press, etc.).

The cost of the showcasing modality is €200. The company must cover all costs related to travel and transport.

Modality 3: Catalan ecosystem company with its own stand outside the ‘NewSpace Catalonia’ pavilion

Inclusion in the NewSpace Catalonia catalogue of Space Tech Expo Europe 2025.
Participation in the various events organised by the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia during Space Tech Expo Europe 2025.
Promotion through various communication channels (website, press, etc.).

Participation under this modality is free of charge. All Catalan ecosystem companies with their own stand outside the NewSpace Catalonia pavilion are encouraged to apply. The company must cover all costs related to travel and transport.

Mandatory requirements
To take part in the selection process, it is necessary to:

Send an email with your contact details to info-apec@ieec.cat before the deadline, stating “Space Tech Expo 2025” in the subject line.
The following documents must be attached to the email:

Selected participation modality (1, 2 or 3).
Brief description in English and Catalan (maximum 100 words). This will be used in the event catalogues and any communication and outreach activities deemed appropriate by the promoters of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia. Consent is considered implicit. The text must be clear and descriptive.
A PowerPoint file with a corporate presentation of the company in English. Maximum 15 slides.
A file with the company logo to be included in the catalogue (in high-resolution format: Freehand, Illustrator, etc.). This will be the logo used for your company signage in the pavilion of the Government of Catalonia.
The PowerPoint and logo must be sent via a file transfer service such as Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc.

Selection criteria

Be a Catalan company or research and innovation centre working in the space-related business sector.

The selection committee will consider:

The level of innovation and originality of your products, services or applications.
The potential for internationalisation.
The degree of market readiness or implementation of your products, services or applications.
