The first major Catalan event focused on NewSpace will once again bring together its main players in Barcelona over two days packed with top-level national and international presentations. Isabel II, 1, 2nd Floor, 08003, Barcelona).

Among the speakers we will find the astronaut and former Minister of Science and Innovation, Pedro Duque; the Director of Marketing, Industry and Competitiveness of the ESA, Géraldine Naja; the Commissioner of the Aerospace PERTE, Miguel Belló; Catalan Government’s Minister of Enterprise and Employment, Roger Torrent or Catalan Government’s Secretary of Digital Policies, Gina Tost. The IEEC will be represented by Josep Colomé, director of the Area for the Promotion of the Catalan Space Sector (APEC).

The usual networking spaces to establish links with members of the community will not be missing in an event which this year will reach its fourth edition —the second one in congress format— and has already consolidated as one of the annual international benchmark events in the NewSpace sector.

Flanders will be the guest region at this New Space Economy Congress 2023, which is organised by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Generalitat de Catalunya, with the partnership of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC); the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC); the i2CAT Foundation and the KIMbcn Foundation.

The Digital Catalonia Alliance (DCA), the European Space Agency (ESA), Eurisy, the International Space University (ISU), the Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies (NEREUS) and the Women in Aerospace Foundation (WIA) are collaborating entities.

Organised by:
