Take part in the Catalonia Space Skills Mapping!

Jul 2, 2026

We invite you to participate in the Catalan Space Sector Skills Mapping initiative, promoted by the Government of Catalonia and coordinated by the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), within the framework of the Catalonia Space 2030 Strategy.

This mapping exercise, developed by the company Space Skills Alliance, includes two surveys: the Survey for HR managers in the Catalan space sector, aimed at organisations to understand their recruitment needs and skills challenges, and the Survey for professionals, which gathers information from people working in the sector regarding their profile, background, and career path.

These surveys are essential for the Government of Catalonia to prioritise talent-related lines of work to support the Catalan space industry. The results will help drive the growth of the sector, guiding investment in education and training programmes, as well as developing strategies to attract and retain international talent.

Survey for HR managers in the Catalan space sector

The Survey for HR managers gathers information from organisations on skills shortages, recruitment processes, and training needs, with the aim of addressing these challenges. It is open to any entity that uses space technologies in their day-to-day operations. Whether you launch satellites, use Earth observation data, or develop software, we encourage you to participate—even if you are not currently recruiting.

Survey for professionals in the Catalan space sector

The Survey for professionals gathers information on the background, education, and career path of anyone working in the space sector, including engineers, astronomers, data scientists, geospatial specialists, marketing professionals, recruiters, teachers, lawyers, PhD students, and more. If your work is related to space in any way, you can participate.

The surveys will be open until 17 August 2026.
