The UPC NanoSat Lab is a laboratory working mainly on the design and development of nanosatellite missions and payloads. The lab also focuses on exploring innovative concepts for small satellites and on the development and integration of subsystems and payloads for Earth Observation and communications.

Created with an educational and scientific objective, the UPC NanoSat Lab is a facility open to students and the scientific community, and also supports small and medium-sized companies and institutions or groups that want to launch small satellites into space. It is one of the few European facilities that has the required equipment to qualify components to be put into orbit, both technologically and in terms of relevant standards.
