Three IEEC researchers will take part in the Barcelona New Economy Week
Three researchers from the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC — Institut d’Estudis Espacials de Catalunya) will take part in the second edition of the Barcelona New Economy Week – BNEW, which will be held from 5 to 8 October 2021. A physical and digital event focused on the new economy that will bring together up to 800 speakers from around the world. Scheduled events will revolve around logistics, digital industry, e-commerce, real estate, mobility, sustainability, talent and science.

In the science section, the event entitled "Study of Outer Space: the Value of Knowledge for the Future of Humanity", which will take place on Wednesday, October 6 at 2 pm in “La Pedrera” (Barcelona), will bring together three IEEC researchers: the professor of the Institute of Cosmos Sciences of the Universitat de Barcelona (ICCUB) Carme Jordi, moderator of the session, and the researchers at the Institute of Space Sciences (ICE – CSIC) Nanda Rea and Guillem Anglada. 
 

The round table will be presented by the journalist Samanta Villar, and it will be also attended by Günther Hasinger, Director for Science at the European Space Agency (ESA), and Antonio Vázquez García, director and co-founder of Alén Space. Together they will talk about the study and knowledge of outer space, and the research as the power that enriches the culture of any society.
