The axion is a cold dark matter candidate, theoretically motivated to solve the strong-CP problem. Axions spontaneously decay into two photons and also convert into photons in a magnetic field.
I summarize the present and future searches for axions in the axion cold dark matter parameter space region and discuss the potential of observing dwarf satellite galaxies with radiotelescopes.
