The summer sky over the OAdM, picture of July of the Observatori Astronòmic del Montsec
Each month the Observatori Astronòmic del Montsec (OAdM) of IEEC publishes an outstanding image from the observations made there. In July the protagonist is the summer sky over the OAdM.

Summer nights are best suited to be able to observe in a naked eye all the details of our galaxy, the Milky Way, as a light strip that goes through the night sky from north to south. It is the spiral galaxy that the Sun belongs to, consisting of about 200,000 million stars, as well as nebulae and stellar clusters. Only from the few places where dark sky is still preserved, as in the Pallars Jussà region where the OAdM telescopes are located, it is still possible to contemplate the Milky Way in all its splendor.

The photography is a panoramic view taken from 8 images captured with a simple SLR camera very close to the Joan Oró and Fabra-ROA Montsec telescopes, at the OAdM. [NOT TRANSLATED]
