Zodiacal light from the OAdM, picture of the month of the Montsec Astronomical Observatory
Every month, the Observatori Astrnòmic del Montsec (OAdM) of the IEEC publishes an outstanding image based on the observations made there. In March the protagonist is the zodiacal light.

Every night, the telescopes Joan Oró and Fabra-ROA Montsec explore the Universe of the Observatori Astronòmic del Montsec. The glow that can be seen over the horizon is not the light pollution from any nearby city. It is zodiacal light, a result of the dispersion of sunlight in millions of interplanetary dust particles that fill the inner solar system. Zodiacal light is so subtile that it can only be observed under the darkest skies. The end of winter and the beginning of spring are the best moments to see it, just after sunset lying on the west horizon. [NOT TRANSLATED]
